Are you wondering how to remove rodents? Everyone wants to know just how to do this effectively and humanely. The most annoying thing is waking up and seeing your fruit basket filled with rodents. Mice don’t have any respect for people’s homes. Did you know that mice are able to survive off an omnivorous diet? However, they prefer to enjoy your home’s pantry full of grains and fruits. They will even eat through a bag of seeds if you have them sitting in your pantry. Either way, there is still a way that you can send them packing just like pros do. Continue reading to find out ways you can get rid of these annoying pests.

Tips on Rodent Removal

Rat and mouse removal can be a bit tricky. Professional exterminators don’t turn your home into a war zone to eliminate mice and rats. Instead, they use strategic ways to lure and exterminate them. Mouse traps are put in clever spots, including your attic, crawlspaces, and corners in the basement. Professional exterminators never place traps in food areas or common areas where you and your family gather often.

Mice choose to travel close to their entrance and escape roots. You can expect to see these traps in certain areas in addition to poison. The preferred method of getting rid of mice is deploying rodent poison outside the house. Traps are also effective ways, but using poison correctly is the best way to complete extermination.

Following up with your extermination tactics is important since mice populate extremely fast. Female mice can give birth up to six times each year. Each of her litters can average at least 12 pups.

One round of extermination solutions may not be enough to solve your problem completely. Depending on the severity of your infestation, it is highly recommended that you exterminate at least once a month.

You can also discuss these matters with a professional exterminator and get some other pro tips for maintaining your home against rodents.

What Method Do Exterminators Use To Get Rid of Rodents?

Exterminators don’t show up in a hazmat suit and vaporize every mouse. If they did, that would only be a temporary solution to the bigger problem. A professional exterminator will observe your home and find entry points. Entry points are the way in which mice and other rodents enter a structure.

A professional exterminator will begin by checking outside for cracks and holes. Mice chew through wood, so a hole on the outside of your home is an easy invitation for an infestation. Exterminators will also search for gaps close to the windows inside.

They will also check your doors since mice can walk through your front door if there are any cracks in it. These entry points will then be sealed off to ensure that mice cannot reenter following extermination.
